Cardiac Risk Assessment – Boston Heart Diagnostics

The Boston Heart Diagnostics Comprehensive Cholesterol Panel measures not only the amount, but the particle size of LDL and HDL, which has been found to be a much better predictor of cardiac risk than standard cholesterol tests.

Test results are presented in a clear and understandable format and include review and guidance from a Wellness ReSolutions provider and Boston Heart dietitians to reduce risk factors.

Gastrointestinal Health Assessment – Diagnostic Solutions Lab

Diagnostic Solutions GI Microbial Assay Plus (GI-MAP) test is a comprehensive pathogens test that measures intestinal bacteria, parasites and viruses.

This test checks for opportunistic organisms, normal flora, parasites, and fungi and also checks DNA for the measurement of antibiotic resistance genes and virulence factors that contribute to pathogenicity.  This test can help determine the most effective treatments for gastrointestinal issues.

MTHFR Genotyping – SpectraCell

Certain mutations in gene coding can reduce activity of the MTHFR (methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase) enzyme which is necessary to convert homocysteine, a potentially toxic amino acid to methionine, a useful and necessary amino acid.

SpectraCell MTHFR Genotyping can provide information about potential causes of elevated homocysteine and approaches for addressing it.

High homocysteine may double the risk of developing illness or complications including:

The MuscleSound Body Composition Assessment uses ultrasound to quickly, accurately, and comfortably measure body fat and lean body mass.  The system also provides a breakdown of fat thickness at individual sites, as well as a comprehensive tracking of change over time in these locations.  Much of the current research on ultrasound has shown it to be a highly accurate and reliable technique of body composition assessment with some significant advantages over many of the better-known methods.
